1970-72 Chevelle Hidden Wiper System with Delay

Get the wiper motor off the firewall. This hidden wiper system for 1970-72 Chevelles mounts the motor and linkage inside the cowl, out of sight, and a supplied cover plate closes the factory motor opening. The result is a clean firewall for a finished engine bay.

Sold in the 2-speed with delay configuration. A rotary switch replaces the factory slider switch in the dash.

Fitment

• 1970, 1971 and 1972 Chevelle
• Choose your model year and dash (Base or SS). The switch adapter plate is different for each dash.
• Replaces the factory wiper motor, switch and wiring. Only the 12V feed from the fuse panel is reused.
• This system hides the motor, not the arms. The wiper arms and blades rest at the bottom of the windshield, just above the trim.
• Cars that came with factory hidden wipers need two passenger-side wiper arms and blades.

Installation

• Space inside the cowl is tight. Removing the hood first is recommended.
• Requires drilling a 5/8" hole in the cowl floor for the harness grommet, plus a small hole for the motor brace (through two layers of sheet metal on 1970-72 cars).
• Wire to 12V through a 5-amp fuse. The delay switch must be well grounded.
